OLGA HAALAND
1912 - 1999
Olga Haaland of Vauxhall, beloved wife of the late Nicolay Haaland, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 1999 at the age of 87 years.
Olga was born on April 26, 1912 at Fairview, Montana. In 1938 she married Nicolay Haaland. They farmed land in the Kinnindale area near Lomond before moving to Circle Hill in 1946. They continued to farm before retiring to Vauxhall in 1973.
Olga leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Nancy (Bob) Saunders of Victoria, British Columbia; two sons Wayne (Debra) Haaland of Calgary and Bryce Haaland also of Calgary; one grandson Nicolai John Haaland and a brother Arthur Chelte of Brooks.
Besides her husband Nicolay, Olga was predeceased by one son Benny Haaland and a brother Carl Chelte.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, May 23, 1999 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Monday, May 24, 1999 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Austin Fennell officiating. Interment followed at the Enchant Cemetery.
