JACK KNIBBS
1928 - 2000
Jack Gordon Knibbs of Taber, beloved husband of the late Isabel Knibbs, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2000 at the age of 72 years.
Jack was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on April 7, 1928, and grew up on a farm at Grassy Lake. On June 5, 1952, he married Isabel Marie Soltez and together with their son, Larry, they farmed at Grassy Lake until 1977 when they retired to Taber.
Jack is survived by his son Larry and his wife Karen; and by their children, Kim and her husband Denes Simo, and Chris and his girlfriend Laurina Peatman. He is also survived by his brothers Rex, Pat (Doreen) and Bill (Anne) and sisters Gail (Gordon) Sanderson and Vivian (Gordon) Loxton and two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
He was predeceased by his wife Isabel in 1996, his parents John and Hazel, sister Loraine Thacker and brothers Lloyd, Jerry and Bert.
The Prayer Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, May 28, 2000 at 7:30 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue Taber, on Monday, May 29, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Burial followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
