Joan Durant

1948 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Marie Durant (née Meikle) in Lethbridge on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the age of 76 years.

The Burial Service will be held at the Taber Memorial Garden, 7600 - 50 Street, Taber on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M.

Joan is survived by her brother Sam (Terry) Meikle of Sylvan Lake; sister Beth (Rod) Olson of Lethbridge; nephews and nieces Dalena Meikle, James Meikle, Brad Meikle, Chad Olson, Lyndon Olson and Raechel Mandin. She had countless friends who all cherished their time with her.

She was predeceased by her parents Jim and Gladys Meikle.

Joan was born November 2, 1948 in Taber. She grew up on the family farm in Hays and moved to Lethbridge after high school to go to college. Joan then moved to Calgary where she spent many many years as a mortgage specialist. She moved to Lethbridge in 2012 to the Blue Sky Lodge. Joan was a cherished sister, aunt and friend.
