Rose Leadley
1951 - 2026
Rosalia Erna Leadley (née Koreck), beloved wife of Duane Leadley, passed away unexpectedly in Taber on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the age of 74 years after a lenghty battle with Multiple Sclerosis and a recent stroke.
Besides her loving husband Duane, Rose is survived by their son Joe (Donna) Leadly of Diamond Valley and his daughters Erika and Taneka; granddaughter Bethany of Bow Island; brother Karl Tanner of Medicine Hat. She is also survived by her home care support Myrna, Bernadette and Deb, as well as her close friend Anne.
She was predeceased by her father Frank Koreck, mother Herta Beklaff and stepfather Adam Beklaff.
Rose was born in Austria on July 17, 1951 to Frank and Herta Koreck. At age two, she immigrated to Canada with her parents and the siblings of a blended family (Maria, Helen, Veronica, Regina and Karl). She was raised and received her schooling in Vauxhall where she met the love of her life. Rose and Duane were married in 1970 and have resided in Taber for the last fifty six years. She loved traveling, gardening and staying close to her husband while he was working. Her positive attitude and unsurpassed strength were an example to those around her and a statement to who she was.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber, on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
