Clarence Severtson

1946 - 2026

 Clarence Douglas Severtson of Lethbridge (formerly of Enchant), beloved husband of Brenda Severtson, passed away unexpectedly in Lethbridge on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the age of 79 years.

Besides Brenda, his loving wife and best friend of forty nine years, Clarence will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jennifer Pittman (Noel Hansen) of Brooks and son Brad (Paige) Severtson of Hussar; eight grandchildren Aaron Severtson, Cheyenne and Desiree Pittman, Carson, Grady and Lila Severtson, Shallan and Larz Chuckery-Hansen and five great grandchildren Zane, Kasspinn, Kaison, Ivar and Tavi. Clarence also leaves to mourn, his brothers and sisters Harvey (Sandy) Severtson of Lethbridge, Linda Comstock of High River, Trudy (Ted) Feller of Lethbridge, Dennis Severtson of Claresholm and Rick Severtson of Brooks; his brothers-in-law Brian Egeland of Fort Saskatchewan, Randall (Tanya) Egeland of Bow Island, Galvin (Christine) Egeland of Milo and Mark (Leidy) Lindstedt of Lethbridge as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends, especially his camping buddies on Geriatric Road in Enchant Park.

He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Alma Severtson and Brenda’s parents Art and Kathy Egeland; sisters-in-law Marlene Lindstedt, Cindy Severtson, Peggy Egeland and brother-in-law Reg Comstock.

Clarence was born on August 17, 1946 and was proud to share his birthday with his son Brad. He said it was the best birthday gift he ever received.

Clarence started as a farmer, owned the Enchant store for many years and finished his career at the Enchant Seed Plant.

In his younger years, Clarence played baseball and a was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper, but his greatest passion became golf. He served as a board member for the Enchant Golf Club for many years. He also put in countless volunteer hours and of course, probably thousands of rounds of golf. He especially enjoyed the Sunday fun scrambles.

Clarence was a kind man with a great sense of humor and was a cherished friend to many.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Enchant Community Hall, 121 Center Street, Enchant on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. A private burial service will be held at the Enchant Cemetery.
