Bruce Ingram

1951 - 2026

Robert Bruce Ingram, beloved husband of Karen Ingram, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, April 20, 2026 at the age of 75 years.

Besides Karen, his loving wife of more than forty five years, Bruce is also survived by his brothers and sisters Gerald (Beth) Ingram, Ruby (Norm) Marose, Janyce (Frank) Eldridge, Sherris Henley and sister-in-law Lyn Ingram, as well as by Karen’s family, her siblings Kathy (Frank) Szakaly, Debra (Laurie) Lewis and by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Wayne and Pontie Ingram, brother Arthur Ingram and brother-in-law Gordon Henley. He was also predeceased by Karen’s family, her parents Keith and Betty Hansen and her sister Deanna Hansen.

Bruce and Karen met in December of 1975 with their first official date being on his birthday in January of 1976. It wasn't long before they became a permanent item - where one was, the other was usually not to far away. Dating time included many camping and fishing trips, with Bruce doing the fishing and Karen taking the photos. This eventually turned into travels throughout Canada and the United States for a day or a couple of weeks. Being on the road and seeing what was out there was where they were both happy. Conversations in the vehicle brought them closer. Stops at tourist destinations, museums, antique shops and convenience breaks would sometimes meant that there were days when they only traveled a hundred miles and other days when they did seven hundred miles.

Meeting and chatting with people along the way was what was fun, usually at the hotel’s complimentary breakfast or the early morning diner. Some of these folks became life long friends, other were just friendly strangers but all made their lives great.

Forty five years married, fifty years together, it was never dull or boring if they were together.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, April 23, 2026 between 6:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M.
