Corrie Visser

1937 - 2026

Cornelia Visser (née Polderman), beloved wife of the late Jim Visser, passed away peacefully in Blairmore on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 89 years.

She is survived by her son Brian (Lani) Visser of Innisfail and by two grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Sally Torcher and Jean Donaldson; brother-in-law Stan Kent and by numerous other relatives.

She was predeceased by her husband Jim Visser, her sister JoAnn Kent, brother-in-law Mike Torcher and her two beloved dogs.

Corrie was born in Leiden, South Holland and immigrated to Canada with her parents and three sisters in 1947 after WWII where they settled in the Raymond area. After getting married, she and Jim settled in Fort Macleod where she lived for well over four decades.

The Burial Service will be held at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond (one mile west of highway 845 on Township Road 64) on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.
