Bill Brandics

1957 - 2026

William Jay Brandics, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, August 31, 2026 at the age of 69 years.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Bill and Marge Brandics, his brother Perry as well as by his maternal grandparents Mary and Julius Martin, step grandpa Martin Kolibar and paternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Brandics.

Bill or Billy as he was known to many, was born in Taber on January 21, 1957. He attended the Lethbridge Community College, graduating with a Professional Cooking certificate. He worked as a pastry chef at Streetside Eatery, specializing in cheesecakes.

After retirement and after his Mom passed away, he moved to Coaldale and continued his love for baking. You never left without a poppyseed or walnut roll or some apple danish, just to name a few. He spent summers making many varieties of jam which he also loved to share with his many friends and relatives. If you had the pleasure of visiting him, his yard was very park-like and his peppers and tomatoes were outstanding.

He will be missed by many for his kind and gentle demeanor and his hospitality.

The Funeral Service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
