Tracy Kerner
1964 - 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Tracy Lavone Kerner (née Dyck), beloved wife of Robert Kerner, who passed away in Taber on Monday, October 12, 2026 at the age of 61 years.
Born in Taber on December 2, 1964, Tracy lived a life filled with laughter, love, and a deep devotion to her family.
Tracy spent her youth in many towns in Alberta, graduating high school in Foremost. She enjoyed an active life playing basketball and slow-pitch. Her competitive spirit followed her into adulthood, where she became well known for her billiards skills. Tracy was a true pool shark and anyone who challenged her to a game knew they were in for some serious competition.
Tracy found happiness in the simple things that made life special. She loved camping, canning, baking, gardening and travelling with her beloved Lovie. Above all else, Tracy’s greatest joy was her family. Raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren were among the most meaningful parts of her life. Her love for them was unwavering and her family was always at the centre of her world.
Tracy was best known for her infectious laugh. You always knew when Tracy was in the room and her presence had a way of filling it with warmth, joy and life. She had a kind and welcoming heart, and her home was more than just a place to gather, it was a home to everyone. There was always room for one more and those who crossed her threshold were made to feel welcome. Tracy had a special way of bringing people together, making memories and turning ordinary moments into treasured ones.
Her laughter, generosity and love will leave an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created, the traditions she passed down and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her family and friends.
Tracy will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Robert Kerner; her grandfather Mel Ronspies; her mother Connie Gross; her sister Carrie Johnson; her brothers Danny (Julianne) Dyck, Randy (Donna) Dyck and Darrel (Terry) Dyck. She leaves behind her cherished children Kasey (Amanda) Rarick, Brittany (Jordan) Valgardson, Amanda (Donnie) Calhoun, Robbi-Lee (Curtis) Stevenson, Walker (Misty) Kerner and Kurtis (Maureen) Kerner along with thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, who were the pride and joy of her life.
She was predeceased by her fathers Edward Dyck and Keith Gross; her stepmother Lorraine Dyck; Robert’s parents Orlean and Joe Kerner; her grandson Tydus Stevenson and her best friend, Wanda Fletcher.
Though Tracy’s time with us has come to an end, the love she shared will never fade. She will be remembered for her laughter that could fill a room, her home that welcomed everyone and a heart that had so much love to give. Her family and friends will carry her spirit with them always, finding comfort in the memories made and in the countless lives she touched.
