David Perin

1972 - 2026

David Perin, beloved father of Jessica Perin, passed away unexpectedly in Lethbridge on Tuesday October 27, 2026 at the age of 54 years.

David is survived by his daughter Jessica Perin of Taber; mother LaRene Perin of Taber; brother Mark (Renita) Perin of Taber and their children Megan Perin (Tyler Wilson), Karly Perin (Mike Weir) and Matthew Perin; sister Sandra (Michael) Krchnak of Taber and their children Kara (Adam) Wright (their children Emerson, Leighton and Jameson), Kymberly (Kodi) Sparks (their children Amira, Aurora and Auto) and Kolten Krchnak. He will be fondly remembered by numerous cousins and extended family members that he cherished.

He was predeceased by his Father Matthew Perin and his sisters Carol Lynn Perin and Patricia Lynn Perin.

David was born in Calgary on July 12, 1972, a freezing cold day. Just a few months later, he joined the Perin family. After some very difficult losses, Matt and Rene’s prayers were answered and their family made complete by a beautiful baby boy. At the ages of ten and eight, Mark and Sandy were smitten with their baby brother and he brought endless joy and play to their childhood.

David spent his youth in Taber on the farm and was always playing sports at school and working with animals through 4-H. David had a deep love for animals and was forever bringing home both pets and strays. David was someone who loved life and was always looking for an adventure, whether that was moving somewhere, building new friendships or finding a fresh fishing spot, he was in.

However, he would say his greatest adventure was being “DAD” to his daughter Jessica. He often spoke about his favourite day of the year being October 23, the day Jess was born and adored spending time with her and his granddog, Tarot. He was an extremely proud father and viewed Jess as his greatest gift and accomplishment.

David was a wonderful brother and a loving uncle who cherished his time with all of his family. He will be profoundly missed by many, but his memory will be carried forward with love by both his daughter and his entire family.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 1:00 P.M.
