George was born June 1, 1932 on the family farm near Vauxhall. This is where he was raised and spent most of his life. He married the love of his life Teddy Kress on April 4, 1956. George remained in Vauxhall until 2002 when he moved to Lethbridge. Although he wasn’t living on the farm anymore he continued to be involved, even running the combine up until 2009
when health prevented him. George enjoyed dancing, jamming, playing cards, travelling and tinkering with automobiles. He was especially fond of his Lincoln and he felt anything else was just a box wagon. George loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially branding with them. He will be remembered for his “Berkley Bait” a.k.a smarties. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as the Vauxhall Legion. In more recent years George was involved the the Lethbridge Senior Citizen’s Organization where he was involved with floor curling and the Reveller’s. George could always be found between the hours of 12:30 P.M. and 3:30 P.M at the Park Place Mall, with his coffee buddies solving the world’s problems. George will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
