ROY KEMPER

1915 - 1998

Roy William Kemper, beloved husband of Marion Kemper of Taber, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at the age of 83 years.
Roy was born on April 8, 1915 in Barnwell, the son of William and Orah Kemper. For many years Roy had farmed in the Cranford area and became active in community affairs. He enjoyed curling, badminton and basketball. Roy also became active in social clubs such as the Taber Lions Club which he was a life time member of and one time member of the Taber Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Elks Lodge. Besides his loving wife Marion (nee Anderson), Roy is survived by a brother Frank C. Kemper of Taber; three sisters-in-law Molly and Ann Anderson both of Taber and Barbara (Ray) Hudgens of San Angelo, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy was predeceased by his parents William and Orah Kemper; four brothers Ralph, Fred (Leona), Myron (Mata) and Arthur (Evelyn); a brother-in-law Lyle Danforth and a sister-in-law Lucille Kemper.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, September 3, 1998 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, September 4, 1998 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
