ALEXANDER HAHIN

1925 - 1998

Alexander Hahin, life partner of Helen Hahin of Taber, passed away in Taber on Monday, October 19, 1998 at the age of 73 years.
Alexander was born in the Ukraine on August 18, 1925. He moved to Austria with his family in 1943 and immigrated to Canada on April 18, 1949. He later settled with his wife and daughter in the community of Taber where he worked at the Sugar Factory for many years and with the Town of Taber.
Alexander is survived by his wife Helen of 55 years; his grandson Scott (Ashley) Allen and a great granddaughter Amanda Marie. He was predeceased by his daughter Lydia.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, October 23, 1998 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, October 24, 1998 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
