MARGARET BISSETT

1931 - 2003

Margaret Orma Bissett, beloved wife of Alvin Bissett of Taber, passed away at the Taber Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2003 at the age of 72 years.
Margaret was born on March 28, 1931, a daughter to David and Emily Ditty. She was raised in Verdun, Quebec where she received her schooling. On July 11, 1953 she married Alvin Bissett in Montreal. Following their wedding they moved to Lethbridge and a short time later moved to Taber where they have resided since 1954. Margaret was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Within her church she played organ and was a primary teacher. Margaret was a cook and worked in various restaurants and was also employed with the C.I.B.C. in Taber.
Besides her husband Alvin, Margaret will be missed by her children, Ron (Kim) of Edmonton and their family David, Scott, Mark, Stefanie, Danielle, Kelsey, Emily and Andrew; Brenda Ibechi of Calgary and their children Aaron (Michelle) - (Eric, Tyler and Brandon) and Nicole; George of Taber and Bruce of Taber and his children Matthew and Nathan. She is also survived by a brother Eric (Pat) Ditty of Taber. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Emily and David Ditty and two brothers, Edward and David Ditty.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber, on Thursday, September 4, 2003 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 p.m. and again prior to the funeral service on Friday, September 5, 2003 from 11:30 A.M. to 12:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, September 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Kendon Bennett officiating. Interment took place at the Taber Memorial Garden.
