FRANCES PASSEY

1916 - 2003

Our spunky little mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at the age of 87 years following a very brief illness. She fought valiantly to remain with us, but it was not to be.
She was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on March 11, 1916 to William Robert and Emily Frances Scott. She was married in 1937 to Clifford Passey. Frances lived in a number of Alberta cities and towns, but since 1953, Taber has been her home. Her employment experiences were varied but the one she enjoyed the most was with Hugh Nicol Insurance Agency, later to become Robinson Agencies, from which she retired after almost twenty years.
Mourning her loss are her children and their families: her daughter Helen Wentz, and husband Clarence, their children, Ken and his fiancée, Shannon and his children, Jackson and Auston; Rick, his wife Carolee and their children, Bryce, Erik, Logan and Brooke; Michelle De Groot and husband Fred and their son, Devon; Dana Bell and husband Tim and their children, Amara and Quinlyn; her son, Robert Guy Passey, his wife Jane and their children, Steve and his wife, Cindy along with their children, Zachary and Matthew; Adam and his fiancée, Carrie; Greg, his wife Laureen and their children Kara and Donovan. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews including her special nieces, Caroline Volk, Melva Christensen and Pearldene Jensen. Frances will also be lovingly remembered by her many friends and caregivers.
Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clifford and two children, Noreen and John; her parents, her brother, Robert John Scott and her sister Marion Schill.
A Funeral Service was held at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church, 5120 - 44 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 1:30 P.M. with Canon Allan McCuaig officiating. Frances was buried at the Magrath Cemetery.
If desired, friends may make memorial tributes to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 210D - 12A Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta T1H 2J1 or to the Royal Canadian Legion, Taber Branch #20, 5205 - 48 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1S8.
