MARY CAVELLE

1907 - 2002

Mary Edna Cavelle of Taber, beloved wife of the late Albert Cavelle, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at the age of 95 years.
Mary was born at Correctionville, Iowa June 29, 1907 and came to the Taber area in 1909 where she received her schooling. Mary married Joseph Paulette in 1927 and they resided in Taber. She later moved to Pincher Creek and in 1943 she married Albert Cavelle. They resided there until 1953 at which time they moved to Warner and in 1956 moved to Taber.
She was a member of the Royal Purple and the C.W.L. and was instrumental in the formation of Parkside Manor. She was Taber’s Senior Citizen of the year for 1981-82.
Mary will be forever remembered by her children Josephine (Buster) Brown of Fort Macleod, Robert (Erlean) Paulette of Fort Macleod; Gary (Mary Ellen) Paulette of Barnwell; Gwen (Gary) Kerkhoff of Taber, and Bruce Cavelle (Gillian) of Cranbrook; a son-in-law Bryan Currie of Waterton Park; eighteen grandchildren; thirty eight great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Fanny Wenbourne; husband Joseph; husband Albert; daughter Pauline Currie; three grandsons Rock Paulette, Danny Paulette and Rodney Cavelle; four brothers Lyn, Ted, Earl and Clifford Wenbourne; five sisters Bessie Dunbar, Grace Martin, Velma Wenbourne, Wilma Wenbourne and Blanche Miller.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, July 21, 2002 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, July 22, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jesus Timajo Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
