Doreen Weinkauf

1944 - 2018

Doreen Margaret Weinkauf (nee Sander), beloved wife of Leo Weinkauf, passed away peacefully in Taber on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the age of 74 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Doreen will be dearly missed by Leo, her husband of fifty three years and their three sons Jack (Tanya) and his children Alyssa and Kayden; Dan (Sherry) and their children Morgan, Cody and Phoenix; Darrell.

Doreen was born in Scott, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Bernadina Sander on August 18, 1944. In her early years Doreen loved bowling, camping, playing cards with friends and doing the weekly word search. She enjoyed following her sons and grandchildren to various sporting events and both her and Leo were avid Blue Jays fans. She loved the company of her dogs Niko and Barney.

Following her retirement from the Clearview Lodge, she went on to custodial duties at the catholic church.
