Maria Koethler

1958 - 2019

It is with great sadness yet rejoicing that the family of Maria Koethler announce her passing. She went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the age of 61 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, August 25, 2019 between 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 5001 - 64 Avenue, Taber on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Maria will be sadly missed by her husband John and their children Kate (Pete) Wiebe, MariAnne (Peter) Neufeld, Jake (Eva) Koethler, John (Sarah) Koethler and Dave (CayLee) Koethler; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings Cornelious Thiessen, Katharina Goertzen, Frank Thiessen, Elizabeth Dyck and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Cornelious and Katharina Thiessen; daughter Maria Koethler; siblings Susanna Thiessen, Jacob Thiessen, Henry Thiessen and Helen Loewen.
