ROSELLA BENNETT

1930 - 1992

Rosella Margaret Bennett, beloved wife of Derrill Bennett, passed away in Fort Saskatchewan on Tuesday, February 11, 1992 at the age of 61 years.

Rosella was born in Taber on September 4, 1930 and was the daughter of Steve and Mary Filgas. She received her schooling in Taber and married Derrill Bennett on December 4, 1949. Rosella and Derrill lived in numerous places in Alberta and since 1972 have resided in Fort Saskatchewan. For the past fifteen years, Rosella has been a Teacher's Aid at Rudolph Henning School in Fort Saskatchewan.

Besides her husband Derrill, Rosella is survived by their four children Brian and wife Colleen and their son Steven of Lloydminster; Roberta Meyer and her husband Glenn and their children Derrill and Tenille of Hanna, Connie Roche and her husband John and their children Shane and Lee of Calgary, Gordon Bennett and his fiancé Koreen of Fort McMurray; her mother Mary Filgas of Lethbridge; three sisters Joylane Bullock and her husband Calvin of Taber; Madeline Campbell and her husband Richard of Medicine Hat and Marilyn Heinricks and her husband Harry of Lethbridge; brother Lloyd Filgas and his wife Flo of Taber.

She was predeceased by her father Steve Filgas, a sister Cecilia Bell and two brothers Edward Filgas and Simon Filgas.

The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 54th Street Chapel, 5314 - 54 Street, Taber on Saturday, February 15, 1992 at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop Raymond Sheen officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
