Steve Zadnik

1939 - 2019

Stephen Nicholas Zadnik, beloved husband of Helen Zadnik, passed away peacefully in Taber on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the age of 80 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Besides his loving wife of fifty six years, Helen, Steve is survived by their five children, David (Donna) Zadnik of Lethbridge and their family Ryan and Kyle; Jim Zadnik of Toronto, Ontario and his family Alexis and Tylor; Robert (Alana) Zadnik of Raymond and their family Daniel (Raquel) and Kristina (Danny); Monica Zadnik of Lethbridge and her son Marcus; Lisa Zadnik of Victoria, British Columbia. He is also survived by his siblings, Sister Beth Zadnik, Al (Helen) Zadnik, Georgina (Gene) Hogan and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his infant son Timothy Zadnik, parents Martin and Mary Zadnik, infant brother Martin and Sister Mary Zadnik.

Steve was born on December 6, 1939 and was raised on the farm just outside of Taber. He married the love of his life, Helen Badura on November 30, 1963. Together, they spent the next twenty five years farming and raising their family.

After retiring from farming, Steve went to work at the UFA in Taber for ten years. Due to an accident, Steve took an early retirement.
