Harvey Martin

1939 - 2019

 Harvey Martin, beloved husband of Annie Martin, passed away in Taber on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the age of 80 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, January 2, 2020 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

 The Funeral Service in celebration of Harvey’s life was held in the fellowship hall at St. Joseph's Catholic Church , 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery.

 Besides his loving wife Annie, Harvey is survived by their son Brett (Holly) Martin of Taber; grandchildren Steffanie Rombough, Branden Martin, Corey (Shelby) Anderson, Brent Anderson and Cassidy Martin; great grandchildren Jayce Ellis, Damien Ellis, Mercedes Payne, Aurora Peters, Colsen Ellis and Brantley Peters. He is also survived by his brother Charles (Dora) Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.

 He was predeceased by his son Barry Martin; his parents Edward and Annie Martin; his brothers John Martin and Bob Martin; his sisters Betty Lou Page, Joyce Martin, Gertrude Martin and Eleanor Ellison.

 Harvey was born in Innisfail on March 31, 1939. He had a very unique life. He enjoyed working on cars, going to auctions and taking care of his farm animals. In our hearts he will always be loved and remembered every day. Harvey’s devotion to his children never wavered, he didn’t know the word ‘no’. His family knew him as a kind and mild mannered man. Harvey was a very sports oriented man and loved to ride his bike. His love of family was always first and foremost. One will never find a finer man.
