JOSEPH KIMMITT

1934 - 2004

Joseph Robert Kimmitt, beloved husband of Doris Kimmitt of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the age of 69 years.
Joe was born and raised in Bow Island where he received his schooling. On August 3, 1957 he married Doris Dragland . He had various jobs and ventures before starting with Canadian Western Natural Gas on July 31, 1967. After 27 years of faithful service with the company, he retired. Joe enjoyed family, horseback riding, fast cars, baseball, curling, golf, camping, playing guitar, singing and dancing.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Doris and their four children Randy (Liz) Kimmitt and their children Stefanie, Gene and Joe; Shelley (Blair) Kultgen and their 3 children Leanne (Dustin), Suzanne (Brian) and son Brayden, and Ryan; Dwayne (Joy) Kimmitt and their children Corry, Cole and Carlyn; and Calvin Kimmitt; his sisters Maryanne (Lee) Schell and  Doreen (Pat) Drinnan and their families; sisters-in-law Marjorie (Hector) Cote and Nedra (Bill) Warren; brothers-in-law Gordon Dragland and Dave Dragland and their families.  He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Harold and Irene, brother-in-law Ted, father and mother-in-law Ted and Winnifred Dragland and sisters-in-law Janette Dragland and Ruth Dragland.
Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel (5006-48 Ave.) Taber on Friday, March 12, 2004 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 1st Street East, Bow Island on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Thomas Vadassery celebrant.  Interment to follow in the Bow Island Cemetery.
