Bruce Tonneson
1955 - 2026
Bruce William Tonneson, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge with family at his side on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the age of 70 years.
He will be remembered by his sisters Marion (Philip) Feist of Taber, Irene (Alan) Wolcoski of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan and brother-in-law Gary Wheeler of Lethbridge; nine nieces and nephews, seventeen great nieces and nephews and three great grand nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Win Tonneson, brother Ken Tonneson, sister Arlene Wheeler and niece Angela Wolcoski.
Bruce was born and raised in Enchant. Following high school in Vauxhall, he worked as a land surveyor out of Edmonton for ten years before a car accident brought him back home. Bruce worked various jobs, including the MD of Taber and Pedro‘s Oil Field as a water truck driver, a position he loved because he could keep his beloved dog Bubba with him all the time.
His family will all remember their favorite uncle Bruce, who always had time for the kids, playing with them, reading books, making up funny stories and making them laugh. Leaving all of them with fond memories.
Bruce‘s last years were spent in Vauxhall. He said “it feels like home now”. He was at the library most days to read the newspapers and keep up his love of reading and to visit with friends.
Bruce lived life his way.
A private burial service will be held at the Enchant Cemetery.
